In this picture, Alexander Kraml's great-great-grandfather, Anton, can be seen together with his wife Katharina and their family. Anton was born on July 31, 1847 in Spielleithen in the Mühlviertel, Upper Austria.
For generations, all of the Kraml family's ancestors were closely connected to agriculture. This photo represents the family roots and the deep connection to rural tradition and way of life.
The story of Chrambl is closely linked to the personal and entrepreneurial journey of Alexander Kraml.
After the successful participation in the “Lion’s Den”, the company initially developed positively.
But three years after the show, financial challenges led to insolvency and the company was sold from the bankruptcy estate. Cosmetic Kitchen no longer existed in its original form. Despite the challenging circumstances, Alexander managed to regain the trust of customers through his know-how and close cooperation with the buyer and to build the company even stronger than before.
Within a short period of time, he was able to significantly increase sales and successfully stabilize production, so that the company was once again firmly established on the market.
However, four years after this successful development, a professional change occurred which meant that Alexander was stripped of his powers. As a minority shareholder, he had to come to terms with this new situation. Nevertheless, an amicable solution was found that enabled him to draw a clear line under the situation and devote himself to new challenges.
This experience had a lasting impact on him and showed him how important it is to act prudently and keep long-term goals in mind, even in times of crisis. The knowledge he gained and his unbroken will to create something sustainable ultimately led to the founding of Chrambl.
The name “Chrambl” goes back to the oldest known spelling of the family name, and the oldest known ancestor of the family was born around 1631.
This deep connection to the past and the understanding of the challenges faced by previous generations show that our actions must always be directed towards the future.

After the Bademeisterei Kosmetikmanufaktur company went bankrupt, Alexander Kraml also had to file for personal bankruptcy. The company was sold from the insolvency estate to Styria.
During this already difficult period, his wife suffered from transfusion syndrome with the twins during her pregnancy and spent over five months in hospital.
Despite these circumstances, the children were born healthy, but his wife soon fell ill with rheumatism. In addition to rebuilding the bathing facility, Alexander also had to deal with personal bankruptcy and face enormous challenges.
But he did not give up. With strength, determination and perseverance he managed to rebuild the company. Later, however, the aforementioned separation occurred, which represented another upheaval in his life.
During this time, Alexander's mother died and his father became seriously ill. During this intense phase, Alexander began to study his family history and carried out a lot of genealogical research.
He was able to talk to his father, who was very supportive of Alexander's research and future plans. Alexander promised him that he would take responsibility for future generations and create something that would last.
This is how “Chrambl Memory 1631” was born – a brand that not only stands for innovation and sustainability, but also for the deep connection between past and future, for strength, will and endurance across generations.
These experiences have shaped Alexander and shown him that true strength does not lie in never falling, but in always getting up and emerging stronger from challenges.
